Fall Camporee

The 11, 12 and 13 year old scouts had a Stake Camporee this past weekend. We arrived in the dark and hiked the 1/4 mile into the camp site. The boys set p camp and cooked over small backpacking stoves. We had a skits and a short program that evening. The next morning we had a flag ceremony and then it was time to start the activities. We started with a scavenger hunt, next we had a short orienteering class and run, then we made alcohol stoves, next was Making an LED flashlight from scratch, we then had Bro. Dees walk us through some basic wilderness survival, STOP, and made some basic survival kits, and we finished p with some semaphore flag signaling. We then had closing ceremonies and a word from President Lauler.
