Orienteering

We went back up to Upper Sycamore to do some Orienteering requirements. The boys needed to set up 1 course, serve as a judge on one course, and runs at least 3 courses. All of the boys that come up on this trip finished the requirements for the Orienteering Merit Badge. Zach and Seth had to make a camp gadget for their First class requirements. They made a tripod. We had the boys set p courses in patrols. We broke them down into groups of 3. We also had Bro. Henckle and Bro. Mecham make up a course. So we had a total of three courses. We timed them to see who was the fastest. We let them work by themselves and together. We took down the times for each one of the courses and added them up. Jacob was the fastest with a combined time of 78 min., second was Donnie with a time of 79 min., and in third which is really impressive since he was sick was Seth with a time of 85 min. After running the courses we had some PB&Js and headed home. I think the boys had fun but I know they're happy they are done with this one.
